Dr. Oh Ock Kown was born and grew up in South Korea. A life- changing experience happened during her senior year in college, which influenced her career decision in life. While in a remote village in Kenya for a year to serve as a missionary, she witnessed the great need for dental care. It was there she decided to become a dentist to serve the underserved.
Dr. Kwon went to dental school and graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. She is a proud member of the dental honor society of Omicron Kappa Upsilon. She is also a recipient of the American Academy of Oral Medicine Award. Additionally, Dr. Kwon holds a Master of Arts in Religion degree, focused on mission studies.
Dr. Kwon recently moved to Saipan with her husband and three sons. She is happy serving the people in the CNMI communities. She enjoys traveling, volunteering and cooking.
